Kissling AG, is a well-established family-run company that's now in its third generation. Based in Switzerland, the ISO 9001 accredited firm has over 90 years of hands on experience to draw on. Development of our extruder gearbox line
Always an innovator, Kissling AG helped pioneer the development of the twin screw extruder gearbox for use in food and plastic extrusion. The twin screw extruder features the EX series of gears that was also created especially for such applications. Collaborating with leading construction plant firms, we designed compact gear units that have the capability to transfer high torques with shafts across significantly small cross-sections. They can also withstand exceptionally high axial forces thanks to the optimised arrangement of tandem bearings.
More on the Kissling gearbox extruder line
We developed the EX gear unit series for use with the twin helix extruder entirely from our plant in Switzerland. Our portfolio also includes highly efficient solutions that have been specially designed for the single-shaft gearbox or kneader. This new generation of extruder gearboxes is noted for performance, reliability and compact design. Users can expect torque/shaft of 0.2 – 14 kNm, a centre distance of 36 – 141mm and axial load/shaft of 24 -370kN. Plus, because every component in our extruder gearbox line is made using the latest production technology and finished to impeccable Swiss standards, you can count on ongoing reliability, outstanding quality and operational efficiency.
