Since its founding in 1925, the company has continuously adapted to new requirements, specifications and customer requirements. Several milestones in the company's history are provided below:

1925  Founding

1950  Use of hardened and ground toothed wheels

1959  First ropeway gear unit for the Squaw Valley Olympics

1975  Entry into the extruder gear unit market

1989  First test bench gear unit for AAR over 60,000 rpm

1997  Ulrich Kissling founds the company KISSsoft AG

1999  PK-21 sets new standards

2001  Amusement parks rely on Kissling quality

2002  KissCom revolutionises gear unit diagnostics

2003  Artec represents Kissling in North America

2005  Engineering of its in-house standard gear series

2006  Increased market share in turbo gear units 2008 New paths with ASTRO gear units

2008  Dr Esther Kissling takes over the management in April

2009  Large-scale industrial sugar mill is fitted with Kissling gear units

2009  The powerful ropeway gear unit is built for a cable car in Rio de Janeiro.

2009  Relocation to Bachenbülach and name change to Kissling AG

2010  Several test bench gear units are built for the aviation industry

2011  The popular theoretical and practical seminars are held for the first time with internal and external speakers

2012  Management change at Kissling AG in November, Martin Kissling takes over the management

2013  Wega 490, double-helical planetary gear for 10,000 rpm

2014  Sirius-CS 125, star planetary gear 400 kW @ 20,000 rpm

2016  Environmental certification ISO 14001 and occupational safety OHSAS 18001

2017  New, compact and small ropeway gear SKP is developed

2017  First SKPO-18 and SKPO-20 are developed and sold
